As a local special district, the Fallbrook Healthcare District (FHD) has an abundance of healthcare programs that benefit the men, women and children who live, work and play in this community. People of every age, every ethnicity and every socio-economic level are touched and enhanced.
The Community Healthcare Programs of FHD address medical, dental and mental health care services as well as nutrition, food, medicine, vision, safety, transportation, and healthcare screenings, support and information. Some are preventive while others provide access to healthcare services for treatment and for education fostering healthy, safe behavioral practices.
The Community Healthcare Programs of FHD are multiple and diverse. Their grant program, honorably recognized by the California Special District’s Association, supported the continuation, expansion and introduction of important healthcare programs and services of non-profit agencies through seventeen grants.
Community Healthcare Programs facilitated and funded by FHD included the 8th Annual Health Fair, Community Collaborative Committee, the Resource Directory and sponsorship of healthcare service events such as the PSA Screening, Healthy Woman Program, the Grant Writing Workshop and the Organ Donor Seminar.
