Fallbrook Avocado Festival
The annual Avocado Festival draws thousands of people to
our quiet village each year. It is definitely a day for the “wearing of the green,”
as green is the most prominent color found in the booths, worn in the form of
hats, and in the form of a signature T-shirt.
Come prepared to visit the many craft and food booths—you can never go hungry at
the Avocado Festival.
Colorful booths line Main and Alvarado Street featuring unique clothing, hats,
arts, crafts, jewelry, and farm-fresh produce for purchase. A variety of bands
and other live entertainment are offered for the pleasure of festival-goers.
Beer gardens and numerous food vendors cater to every whim.
Many have discovered the joys of guacamole—as well as the delightful new flavor
of avocado chips—during their first visit to the festival.
Activities abound with cooking competitions (come prepared with your best
guacamole recipe), as well exhibitions showcasing local talent. There will even
be a race where the cars are made from avocados!
If you have never seen a giant, inflatable avocado, just
come to the Avocado Festival and see it in living color—green, that is!
Rounding out the activities for the weekend is an opportunity to learn about
airplanes at the Fallbrook Airpark.
