The Insider's Guide to Fallbrook, California

A short 18-mile drive from the Pacific Ocean, the greater Fallbrook area is well known for its gently rolling hills, lush groves, ancient oak trees, equestrian and walking trails, riparian areas, nature preserves, and Mediterranean climate.

Arts in the Park

In the spring of each year, beautiful Live Oak Park is the picturesque setting for Arts in the Park, a festival of activities for the children of Fallbrook and surrounding areas.

Made possible by Rally for Children, a charitable group formed in 1993 by public-spirited Fallbrook and Bonsall women, Arts in the Park offers a hands-on experience that brings educational art enrichment to local children as well as their parents.

The day is free for all children, and focuses on many areas of art. Local dancers, singers, clowns, and mater puppeteers add enchantment to this event.

Various community organizations contribute to the success of Arts in the Park by sponsoring and managing booths where the children can do hands-on projects. The American Association of University Women (AAUW), The Garden Club, the Kiwanis Key Club, National Charity League San Luis Rey Chapter, and the Fallbrook Gem and Mineral Society are just a few of the participants.
