The Insider's Guide to Fallbrook, California

A short 18-mile drive from the Pacific Ocean, the greater Fallbrook area is well known for its gently rolling hills, lush groves, ancient oak trees, equestrian and walking trails, riparian areas, nature preserves, and Mediterranean climate.

Revitalization

The Village Association, Revitalization Committee and Land Conservancy are groups working to redevelop and beautify the historic downtown. Weed-filled lots have been made into beautiful parks; a burned-out hardware store is now a popular outdoor gathering place known as the Village Square that features the weekly farmer's market. An old abandoned citrus packing plant is being privately developed into an attractive center for restaurants, retail and office space.
